My finished music video will include lip syncing for the songs chorus as they are relatively easy words to memorise and to sing over. I want the cast to over exaggerate the lyrics so they are simpler to edit and for the audience to comprehend. To practise lip sync editing I selected a sample video of Sam, who I am using as an example for developing my skills, and edited the chorus of him lip synching to hearts a mess by Gotye.

I placed the footage in Premier Pro and added markers for when Sam is about to begin. This meant it was easier to merge the audio and visuals. In the original video Sam was lip synching over the original song played on a speaker so I muted the sound. Once I had finished editing the chorus there was a gap at the start of the video so I inserted more footage recorded so I could cut to the beat.
I decided to change this to Worry by Jack Garratt as it is more relatable to the genre of the music video I am producing.

By including the wave length of the audio next to the video so cutting to the beat was easier and I could see when to start the new clip where Sam begins to sing. The task let me improve lip syncing so it is easier to apply to my music video. The final video is below.
