Overall, I received mainly positive feedback on the initial idea's for my music video. To gain a balanced feedback i wanted to include opinions from a variety of people, not just media students as they would have a more in depth perception of the conventions in music videos. To do this I sent out emails and posted on social media containing links to my previous blog post implementing my idea's such as the Premier Pro editing techniques, the use of smoke pellets etc and used the responses to alter some elements of the music video. To avoid bias I am keeping the identity of the people responding anonymous.
Response 1)
" It seems like you have a good concept in terms of preparation. It would be hard getting lots of people to some of the locations and you would have to think about the time of year you are filming"
This comment allowed me to reflect on the fact one of my ideas may be unrealistic however this can be adjusted by me filming at the local train station and around the town. I appreciated the feedback as it allowed me to adjust the potential locations I will film in.
Response 2)
" GREAT IDEA! The theme of friendships suits the song and you could make it better by adding some nostalgic elements as the song is quite old"
This comment shows that I should keep the theme of friendship for my music video which means the cast could become bigger. In terms of nostalgia I could add some camera effects such as a retro VHS style effect and use it as if a cast member is filming one of their memories. This comment has also allowed me to consider adjusting the mise en scene of the cast so they wear an older style of clothing to suit the nostalgic elements of an old camera.

Response 3)
" The idea sounds realistic and achievable. i like the style of using smoke pellets"
This feedback sums up what I am hoping to achieve from my Music video. My intention is to not over complicate anything as I have limited experiences and abilities in terms of camera work and editing. Obviously my ability will improve with practice but I don't want to set any unrealistic expectations and not explore outcomes that I wont be able to include.
