The music video takes place over a variety of locations and we require specific equipment for certain scenes. Requiring a camera that can sustain a high quality when zoomed in is imperative as certain road signs etc need to be zoomed in on. The specifications of the camera are not necessarily essential however having one with this zooming ability will assist the group with their lip synching as it will easier pick up when they over exaggerate their mouths when lip syncing.
I took a practise shot using a Canon DSLR.
Having a tripod that can steady the shots is also important as we require some of the lip syncing to take place when red smoke is ascending behind the actors. The camera needs to remain steady so we can clearly see the smoke go past them. Also if footage is to be recorded in Paris I have an idea to film the roundabout which moves at a fast speed frequency and to speed the footage up into a matter of seconds. This needs to be steady otherwise the footage will be messy and difficult to edit which would make its purpose in the final edit questionable as it doesn't necessarily serve a purpose.
A potential idea when the cast are in the car is to have a drone flying over the car while the road is empty. This would needed to be filmed relatively close the school so the appropriate staff can film the scene. It may be unable to achieve put would look good in transition when on route to the secluded location. This could also be used to show the red smoke coming out of the sky from the trees in the woods. If this idea is unable to be achieved I will just use a variety of shots as the car is pulling away. I took inspiration for the idea from various films and feel applying this to the video with the use of a drone would be good for moving smoother between locations.
