The first thing I did when starting my construction after importing the videos to the computer was to place them in a new document on Premier Pro, i prioritised organisation as this was an issue I encountered last year so I made folders, or bins, for the footage to go into which is in a chronological order of what I filmed.
Once the footage had been placed in Premier pro I downloaded an Mp3 Audio File of the song from Youtube. I also downloaded a VHS Overlay effects package from a Youtube link that would allow the video to have the grainy desired effect as if the actors were filming it themselves.

Originally, I had intended for the video to open with a sliding black panel effect as demonstrated below with stock footage I had downloaded, as inspired by Hardy Caprio's Unsigned Music Video which was also edited on Premier Pro.
After I had seen the downloaded VHS effects however I decided they would be better for the start of the video as It feels like an old home movie starting, to use the clips I placed them on the timeline of the video, went into the 'Opacity settings' In the Effect controls of Premier Pro and changed the blend mode from 'Normal to Screen'
I then added text as an Overlay, this allowed for a VHS Style Font to appear in a similar style. These can be placed over the top of the Original Video.
The next steps were using the Footage I had to cut to the beat of the opening seconds of the song. The tempo was very fast so I made my timeline tight and compact so the footage was easier to alter and remove. I tried to have a lot of short, sharp cuts.

With the majority of the clips I tried to edit the video so the clips I had filmed that I hadn't planned on my shot list but were relevant as transitions or to add a sense of realism as the video doesn't take itself seriously were used with the VHS filter to make them look deliberately home made. I used the sound audio source panel within Premier Pro to help when cutting to the beat for these clips.

When adding lip synching for the chorus I marked in the parts where Harry began singing and marked out again when the shot changed. Also there is a segment of foreshadowing where we see later in the video at the same time as his singing. To do this I placed the clips on top of each other then changed the opacity of the top clip. I then used a transition to make them fade in and out.

There are various clips in the video that use a clip and then that clip rewinds itself at a faster speed. To do this I placed the original clip in that I wanted and then using the Alt key and dragging up, made an identical copy of it without affecting the rest of the timeline. I then placed the copy directly next to the previous one and right clicked to edit the speed of the video which I increased by 150% and then clicked the reverse speed button in the options below it.

When cutting to an extremely fast beat such as the one where Harry is Driving the car I cut the clip up into small segments and made the timeline compact so it was easier to work with.

To end the song I decided to reduce the time by having it fade out to do this I cut the end of the song by splitting it up and deleting the end, I then used the 'exponential fade' effect in the audio transitions and placed it at the end of the song. I then placed the Dip to Black video effect on my video to add a dramatic style ending.

I then locked the main audio panel and deleted all unnecessary external audio.
